On the stage of modern architecture, space structure has become the favourite of many large buildings with its unique charm and excellent performance. Whether it is the grandeur of sports stadiums or the practicality of industrial plants, the space structure can show a unique architectural style by virtue of its rich and varied construction types.
1.Flat plate mesh frame construction type
(1) Cross truss system: This is a common type of flat plate grid structure. It consists of two groups of intersecting trusses, just like the interweaving grid of warp and weft. The two groups of trusses are usually arranged orthogonally or diagonally according to the building requirements. The force of this system is clear, the upper and lower chords mainly bear the axial force, while the web is responsible for transmitting the shear force. In the roof design of some small and medium-sized gymnasiums, intersecting truss system can provide stable bearing structure, and at the same time, its simple form is convenient for construction and erection.
(2) Quadrangular Cone System: The quadrangular cone system takes the quadrangular cone as the basic unit, which is combined by connecting the vertices of the quadrangular cone and overlapping the bottom edges, etc. This system has good spatial bearing performance. This system has good spatial stress performance, and the force of each rod is uniform, which can effectively improve the overall stiffness of the frame. In the roof construction of large exhibition halls, the quadrangular cone system net frame structure can cover a large space, provide open space without columns for the internal exhibition, and meet the flexibility requirements of the exhibition space layout.
(3) Triangular cone system: The triangular cone system takes the triangular cone as the basic unit. As the triangular cone itself has good stability, the grid structure composed of it performs well in space stress. It is suitable for various complex shapes of building planes, such as circular, polygonal and so on. In the roof design of some large airport terminal buildings, the triangular cone system is able to adapt to irregular building shapes, while providing reliable structural support for the building.
(1) Spherical net frame: spherical net frame is like a dome, with beautiful curves and good spatial stress performance. It takes the spherical shell as the basic model, and forms the net frame structure by connecting the rods. Spherical mesh frame is able to transfer the roof load evenly to the foundation, which is widely used in large planetariums, theatres and other buildings, not only providing a stable structure, but also creating a unique architectural atmosphere.
(2) Column mesh frame: Column mesh frame is like a part of the unfolding of the column, and its shape is more regular. It has greater rigidity in the long direction and is suitable for some long buildings, such as railway station platform canopies and industrial plants. The construction of column mesh frame structure is relatively simple, can effectively use the material, and provide economical and practical space covering solutions for the building.
