Furthermore, the various connectors and fixings of the roof, such as the combination of self-tapping screws and roof panels, with the passage of time, the screws corrode, the sealant ages, and the rainwater is very easy to seep into the house along the screw holes. In addition, the deformation characteristics of the steel structure, under load, temperature differences, etc. will produce displacement, which is closely linked to the waterproofing of metal roof panels to bring a great test, if the waterproofing measures are not in place, roof leakage will occur frequently.
(1) plate seam waterproofing
Selection of high-quality sealing materials is the key, such as silicone weather sealant, which has excellent ultraviolet resistance, high and low temperature resistance, can adapt to the complex environmental changes in the roof. Construction, you need to clean both sides of the plate seam, remove oil, dust and other impurities, to ensure that the sealant and plate good bonding. Sealant will be injected evenly into the plate seam, filling full, forming a continuous waterproof adhesive strip, the width and depth should meet the design requirements, to prevent rainwater from breaking through this first line of defence. For some special shapes or larger width of the board seam, can be combined with the use of waterproof tape to enhance the sealing effect.

3.Daily Maintenance
Regularly inspect the roof, focusing on checking the operating conditions of sealant, waterproof fittings, drainage system, etc., and find and record problems in time.
Before the rainy season, strengthen the frequency of roof inspection, clean up the gutter debris to ensure smooth drainage; repair and reinforce the parts that may leak in advance to ensure that the metal roof steel structure maintains good waterproof performance in the rainy season, and create a dry and comfortable environment for the building interior.
