Three methods of tightening bolts in grid structures

  1. Torque control method

Definition: When the tightening torque exceeds a certain set operating torque, the tightening control measures are immediately stopped.

Advantages: The control system is simple and direct, and it is convenient to use a torque or high-precision torque wrench to check the tightening quality.

  1. Torque-angle control method

Definition: First tighten the anchor bolt to a relatively small torque, and then start from this point to tighten a required angle control method.

Advantages: The radial preload accuracy of the anchor bolt of the grid structure is relatively high (±15%), it can withstand a large radial preload, and the standard value can be concentrated around the mean.

  1. Range control method

Definition: A method of stopping tightening after tightening the anchor bolt of the grid structure to a certain extent.

Advantages: The tightening accuracy is very high, and the preload deviation can be controlled within ±8%; but its accuracy depends mainly on the tensile strength of the anchor bolt itself.
