This Christian community centre, with its distinctive architectural form, accommodates diverse functions. The glass dome and central golden cross create an iconic religious space, providing a venue for both worship activities and community engagement.
The main worship area beneath the dome serves as the core venue for Sunday services and prayer meetings. Translucent glass admits natural light, fostering a sacred yet expansive atmosphere. This space accommodates religious ceremonies of varying scales—from solemn communion services to intimate small-group devotions—meeting the spiritual needs of worshippers. Peripheral ancillary spaces, such as the flanking structures, are designated as fellowship rooms. Here, youth groups may organise Bible studies and themed discussions, deepening faith understanding through relaxed exchange; community members can also engage in crafts, baking, and other activities, fostering connections through shared interests and conveying Christ’s love.
Community service functions are integrated into the building layout. The ground-floor open area and side hall can serve as a public welfare station, hosting eldercare activities with leisure seating and health screening equipment, facilitating gatherings and care for local seniors. It can also transform into a childcare and educational space, using religious story illustrations and age-appropriate activities to convey positive values while caring for children, supporting collaborative parenting between families and the community. Furthermore, the building’s exterior and entrance area extend as community interaction zones. The front courtyard’s water feature and landscaping create a tranquil setting for contemplation and conversation among worshippers and residents alike. It hosts small-scale outdoor gospel sharing sessions and community cultural salons, dissolving architectural boundaries to become a window through which the church serves the neighbourhood and conveys the warmth of faith. This approach embeds religious spaces organically within community life, achieving a harmonious integration of faith cultivation and social service.
