How to choose anti rust primer for space frame structure accessories

As zinc-rich paint contains zinc powder, the space frame structure accessories can protect the stainless steel plate, so it is the preferred anti-rust paint. Should we use epoxy zinc-rich paint or inorganic zinc-rich primer? Zinc-rich paint has anti-rust effect only when the coating is partially damaged. Although the inorganic zinc-rich primer has good performance in high temperature resistance, washing resistance, chemical resistance and electrostatic induction, it is actually only used as a corrosion-resistant system software for a single coating of space frame accessories. If only high-performance intermediate paint and oil paint cooperate with each other, the use of epoxy zinc-rich paint and inorganic zinc-rich primer has no big difference in terms of corrosion resistance performance.

The construction of inorganic zinc-rich primer is relatively inconvenient. For the metal surface treatment of steel structure accessories, engineering machinery & equipment and construction teams must meet high standards. The inorganic zinc-rich primer must be dried before applying the intermediate paint coating, and the drying should be done with the help of higher air humidity, which is recommended to be around 60%. The surface layer of the inorganic zinc-rich primer has a porous structure, which is specified for sealing paint or mist spray technology. Inorganic zinc-rich primers have strict regulations for the thin film thickness. Excessive film thickness will cause the paint film to crack, so it is generally specified below 125μm. In contrast, the construction regulations for epoxy zinc-rich paint are much simpler.

High-build modified epoxy paint is also a key anti-rust paint, which contains anti-rust color paste such as acid zinc or aluminum oxide powder. The paint film is firm and durable, and has strong adhesion to the space frame accessories. Vacuum hydrocarbon epoxy resin modified epoxy resin adhesive architectural coatings, there are different products such as general type, alumina powder type and glass flake cement reinforced type. A single spray painting can exceed (100~300)μm film thickness.
