The first steel space frame of the International Conference Center project was slowly lifted by the 500-ton crawler crane of the XGC500A model and hoisted to the designated area, which marked the smooth hoisting of the first steel space frame of the project, and the project construction entered a new stage.
The main structure of the International Conference Center project is a fully cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame shear wall structure, and the roof is a steel space frame structure. The roof space frame is a space frame with positive quadrangular pyramid welded hollow spherical nodes, which is supported by the lower chord and connected to the main concrete column through the spherical support. The projected area of the space frame is about 35,880 square meters, with a length of 231.3 meters and a width of 155.1 meters. The four corners of the roof are large cantilever space frames, the maximum cantilever height is 52 meters, and the amount of steel used is about 1,500 tons.
The roof space frame of this project is characterized by large projected area, heavy weight and limited site. The space frame installation adopts the method of “on-site assembly, block hoisting, and high-altitude docking”, and large-scale crawler cranes are used for hoisting. It is now during the winter construction period, and the temperature is low, which increases the difficulty of on-site construction. In the early stage of space frame hoisting, the project department compiles various special plans according to relevant specifications, organizes expert demonstrations, uses BIM to deepen drawings, demonstrate the hoisting process, and conduct safety technical disclosure before construction.
